The album "Colors in the Sky" by artist Periwinkle Dawn is a musical work released on May 18, 2026, by the EtherPrometeuz label.
Perfectly contemporary, both chronologically and stylistically, with the project's other productions, the album blends elements of electronic, ambient, and new age music to create a synesthetic and highly visual sonic journey.
Production and Creation Details:
Producer: Production and sound design are by Simone Beretta, who created a clear, spatial, and immersive sound design.
Composer and Lyricist: Music and lyrics are by Pierpaolo Beretta, who focuses on creating harmonic progressions that evoke the changing of colors and light.
Musical Characteristics:
Visual and Sound Concept:
As the title suggests, the album plays on the idea of translating the light phenomena and colors of the sky (such as the Northern Lights, sunsets, or constellations) into sound frequencies, alternating warm nuances with cooler, more static tones. Ambient and New Age sound: the songs unfold through extensive layers of synthesizers, light drones, and minimalist melodies. The primary goal is to induce a state of relaxation, introspection, and profound calm.
Electronic Structure: The rhythmic component is almost imperceptible or completely absent in many passages. When present, it manifests itself in the form of digital microrhythms and very subtle glitch effects, which never interrupt the hypnotic flow of the songs.
